Get Involved
You can become involved with ACAA through participating in monthly meetings, attending the annual retreat, sending your students and yourself to the annual Leadership Exchange conference, or by attending the various social and service functions held by ACAA members in Chicago and the metropolitan area.

Membership
ACAA fosters an experience that values the diversity of its members and institutions. ACAA will not engage in discrimination or harassment against any person because of race, color, religion, sex, gender expression, national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, family status, disability, sexual orientation, unfavorable discharge from the military, or status as a disabled veteran or a veteran of the Vietname era and comply with all federal and state nondiscrimination law orders and regulations.
ACAA reserves the right to deny and/or discontinue the membership of any member for abuse of privilege, exploitation, and defamation of the organization.
Institutions with multiple campuses may have separate institutional memberships.
Membership fees will be assessed annually. All membership fees are to be used to directly support the approved activities of the entire organization. No fees shall be used to benefit any individual member(s) without a motion being passed by majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting.

Institutional Memberships
Insitutional membership in ACAA is available to all institutions of higher education. Types of membership in ACAA consist of the following: Institutional, which can include Head Delegates and Additional Delegates; Affiliate Delegates; and Lifetime Delegates.
Head Delegates
Each institution will be assessed an annual fee. The fee provides for one staff person to serve as Head Delegate to his or her institution. The Head Delegate, as determined by the institution, must be identified and will be placed on official record as the voting member.
Additional Delegates
An additional fee per person/per institution allows for other staff delegates as desired by the institution. The delegate(s) must be sponsored by an institutional member school.
Affiliate Delegates
Affiliate memberships is for individuals who are unable to be sponsored by an institutional member school and who have an interest in student development and student activities. Affiliate Delegates enjoy all the privileges of membership with the exception of holding executive office and voting privileges.
Lifetime Delegates
ACAA may agree to bestow lifetime memberships to individuals who have significantly contributed to the organization. Lifetime members pay no fees, have no voting privileges and may not hold office.

When paying for your membership, you have two options of how to make your payment. You can either mail a check to the designated person said on your Membership Form or pay online by using the Paypal Payment Service that is available on the right side of this page.
